Rangoli Competition

Category:Art and Culture

Sub Category: Rangoli Competition

Rangoli Making is a famous art form from India in which different shapes and designs are made on the floor or courtyards with materials such as coloured rice, dry flour, and coloured sand or flower petals. It is usually made during festivals like Diwali, Onam, Pongal and many other rituals and customs of Hindu religion.

IDA organized a Rangoli competition not only to enhance participants’ imagination but also encourage our Indian tradition.

Our objective is to encourage everyone to celebrate festivals in an innovative way. Organizing such events help youth to remain close and attached to their culture. It gives a chance to the participants to gain experience, adopt innovative techniques, showcase talents, analyse and evaluate outcomes and uncover their personal ability. This event was done as a part of IDA’s initiative to promote Art and bring people together for a festive occasion (Diwali).

The event was a huge success and commendable work was done by members and participants. Participants were ready to colour the world of imagination with their creativity.
